About Us

Have lived with dogs all my life learning to walk on my fathers labrador stud dogs tail, my first dogs were un re-homable labradors who both taught me a lot. l trained for social problems in dogs long before it was called behavioural training and ended up deciding over 20 years ago to have Rottweilers with the firm intention of having a solid dog with a good character.

l have kept to this over the years breeding for my own pleasure of keeping another generation. l have joined and supported the breed clubs including Rott Welfare also running a Helpline for Rotts, l also worked for PRO/PAT Dogs. l am still listed as a general advisor in Dogs Today.

The Heelers came in about 13 years ago as a small working breed that would run well with the Rotts not teaching them bad habits. To me they are also a solid little dog that should have a good character, all my dogs live in the house together only being separated during seasons and litters.

l also have bred rare pedigree Shetland sheep with over 200 ewes of varying colours and markings the breed has done so well they are no longer rare. Unlike the Ultra rare Shetland Cattle which l have had for 18 years when only 67 breeding existed when l started, now over 300 breeding cows exist, l have bred over 100 pure calves and am a life member of the Shetland Cattle Herd Book Society specialising in helping people start up their own breeding herds.

l have shown over the years Ducks, Chickens, Turkeys, Angora Rabbits, Sheep, Cattle, and Horses, one of my 22 year old Shetland ponies is a County Champion. l have experience in Arab, Morgan Horse and Welsh D Cobs with my oldest mare making 27 year and still have several of each.

All Rotts are hip-scored and all Heelers have yearly eye-tests done
