December 2009

At the weekend of 28 and 29 of november the Amsterdam Winner dog show was held. It was the first time the heelers have been shown at a kennelclub show in Holland.

Lancashire Heeler Dotty Goes Dutch

Astrid and Jean Paul from Holland

At the Winner show in Amsterdam, seven heelers participated, but a lot more were present and promoted the breed. As this was the first public appearance on a major show, we would like to write a bit about it.

On both days there was a lot of interest in the breed at the "Discover Dogs" booth. The general breed presentations at Saturday and Sunday drew attention to the breed in and outside the showring. The Lancashire Heeler had the floor for herself at Sunday. Twelve heelers participated in this parade.

The show results were:

Veteran class dogs

Foxthyme Herby Goes Dutc (Herbie): 1 Excellent, BD, CAC, W09, BoB

Puppy class dogs

Marmalade's Early Bird (Elo): 1 very promising

Open Class bitches

Foxthyme Miss Moneypenny (Penny): 1 Very Good

Youth Class bitches

Procordia One and Only (Phoebe): 2 Very Good
