Appeal for membership of Lancashire Heeler Club Netherlands
Lancashire Heeler Club Roll call!
Since our foundation in 2009 the Lancashire Heeler Club Nederland grew quickly to 30 members, but the number has stabilized since then. One of the reasons is that we couldn’t grow by memberships of puppy buyers because the majority of our population is too old to breed with, and the youngsters too young. Although we might have a slow start this year, the growth will still be too limited. This means that with the limited anticipated growth we cannot achieve the minimum number of 50 members for a recognition by the Dutch Kennel Club. So for a faster growth we need foreign members, that means YOU!
Let me explain why 2011 is so important to us:
From September 1st until September 4th there are two major shows in Holland, the Eurodogshow and the Leeuwarden CAC show. In addition to that, the CAC show Rotterdam is organized in the weekend before (27th-28th of August). That means that in a period of 8 days there are 3 major CAC shows. For people from abroad this is an interesting perspective. It would be still more interesting if we were able to organize our own specialty show. Such a show would be held on Saturday September 3rd, and with enough participants, would give double CAC’s to the winners. For that we need a recognition, and for a recognition we need 50 members!
So that’s the idea: if you join our club, we can get a recognition and subsequently organize a specialty show linked up to the Euro Dog show and the Leeuwarden CAC show.
