Brian to tour Europe!

Lancashire Heeler Asssociation mascot Brian is to tour Europe! Pete Jones will be leaving 'Harley Heelers', Poppy and Penny, at home and taking Brian with him on a sponsored tour taking in up to 10 Eoropean countries...as many as he can manage in a fortnight.

The trip is being undertaken to kick start the Lancashire Heeler Association's campaign to raise awareness of best practice in health and breeding matters for the Lancashire Heeler Breed. As the Association's mascot, Brian will attend Health Seminars, Shows and Fun days and will undergo all required DNA and health testing before breeding. The Association spent much time in choosing a reputable breeder before 'purchasing' their puppy. The name 'Brian' was chosen after voting from a selection of names suggested by members.

Brian will be wearing a collar won at auction from the Kennel Club Charitable Trust. The collar is designed by the BBC news reporter Kate Silverton and bears a handwritten goodwill message and her signature.
